Alison Baxter was born in the north of England in the seaside town of Blackpool. Her earliest memory of writing was when her dad gave her a big red notebook that she filled with poems and short stories and even drew pictures to go with them. She was ten.She always knew that she was going to be creative and when she was older, she went to university in London and studied Printed Textiles. It was during that time that she read the question – “Where do lost things go?” and she immediately thought – they go to Lost Property of course! And the idea for Lost Property was born. These days she is back living in Blackpool with her husband and their two rescue cats Bedford and Daisy. She works full time in a bank and spends all her spare time writing stories for children.
